WORK PARTIES

Because of the lack of interest in work parties, this year there were only 3 official work parties.

This does not mean however that work will not carry on through the season, and I ask that anyone wanting to help should phone me on 01403 261107 to find out what work is being tackled.

As always for work parties, please bring with you any tools that would be useful for the job in hand.

Michael Errett.

CRAYFISH

The crayfish manifestation will be addressed this year.  We have professionals prepared to net the full length of our river.  The first netting hopefully will be carried out during the close season.  If the Crayfish Company are going to be good enough to help us control the crayfish, as a club we have to respect that the best time to net them may interrupt our fishing for a very short period of time.  If you see a boat laying nets, please do not interfere with the work they are doing, even if it means that you have to stop fishing and move to another section.  So that there is minimal disruption, the nets should be laid late evening and removed early morning.  Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
